Aside from the one in The Wizard of Oz, there aren’t too many famous pop culture tornados. Perhaps the most famous is exists in the 1996 film Twister, which famously brought a cow into the air (and took the life of a young, evil Dr. Jonas Miller, as played by Cary Elwes).
But do the once impressive special effects hold up 20 years later? Will our 2016 minds still get swept away by Twister? On this week’s Rewatch, Lindsey and writer Jonny Coleman revisit the blockbuster, hoping to see if the magic—and terror!—persist.
