Do you find yourself running from packs of black cats in dark alleys? When you step on a crack in the sidewalk, do you text your mom to see if she’s safe? Have you avoided walking under ladders your whole adult life?

You’re not alone. In fact, you might even be Friggatriskaidekaphobic—or one of the 20 million Americans who fear Friday the 13th.

At MEL, however, we fear nothing. (Except for maybe getting in a fist fight.) And so, for us, Friday the 13th is just another day on the calendar. But we understand that’s not the case for everyone. To brighten your day and replace all the bad luck with the good kind, here’s a roundup of the best things to ever take place on Friday the 13th.

Spoiler alert: We couldn’t find that many.

July 13, 1923: The Hollywood sign debuts.

December 13, 1957: Steve Buscemi is born.

January 13, 1854: The accordion is patented.

September 13, 1985: Super Mario Bros. is released.

February 13, 1970: Black Sabbath’s Eponymous album drops.
